A crown, formerly referred to as a cap, is a molded shell placed over the entire tooth surface to restore its shape, size, strength and /or appearance to its natural state. Porcelain crowns are natural looking in shape and color, leave no edge at the gum line and can last 20-30 years!

Oops - accidents do happen! After a slip and fall, Stephanie needed her broken tooth extracted and replaced. She decided on a smile makeover - a combination of a porcelain bridge and porcelain veneers is just what the Doctor ordered. Stephanie’s smile is ear to ear and she can not stop showing it off, and claims her self confidence has skyrocketed!
Steve showed up at our office with severely decayed, broken and discolored teeth. He desperately wanted to fix them but he was very scared of dental treatment. With some hand-holding, Steve came through with flying colors. Steve was amazed with his beautiful smile transformation, and most of all his mouth is healthy again!
Amanda came to the office unhappy with her front crowns. She said that her crowns were too big and not natural looking. A smile makeover was what she was looking for, and that is what was delivered! The coloring, size and shape of her new smile and teeth was exactly what she was looking for!
Crystal sought out our help because she was unhappy with her smile. Her main concern was that her front teeth appeared to be different in size, she was also unhappy with the way her crowns looked. With a combination of laser gum treatment and new porcelain crowns we gave Crystal the smile she always wanted!

Dr. Luz Elena Cabrera was born in Cali, Colombia. Her undergraduate and dental training was in the city of Caracas, at the Central University of Venezuela. In 1988 she emigrated to America and in 1997 she graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FDT Program (Foreign Trained Dentist Program.) She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Florida Association of America (FDA) and the Association of the District of West Coast (WCDA.)
In 1997, she started her private practice in the city of Temple Terrace, Florida, and is dedicated to general dentistry - especially cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.

Dr. Cabrera is a professional trained in the field of cosmetology, oral implantology, reconstructive and comprehensive rehabilitation. She is committed to providing the best services to meet the different needs and expectations of their patients. She resides in Tampa since 1988 with her husband Fernando Cabrera and her three children; Fernando Jr., Viviana, and Sebastian. Viviana and Fernando Jr. both offer their help as employees in her dental office to better serve you!
